Cat Burns offers a glimpse of her upcoming second album with her latest single, "Please Don’t Hate Me."

Cat Burns may now be a recognizable figure on our screens with the latest season of Celebrity Traitors, but she is also preparing to launch her second album ‘How To Be Human’ (set for release on 31st October via Since ‘93/RCA). She has just released a touching new single titled ‘Please Don’t Hate Me’. This track is the third single from the album, following ‘GIRLS!’ and ‘All This Love’, and serves as a poignant tribute to moving on from a relationship filled with mutual love and respect, expressing wishes for a past partner's happiness rather than seeking revenge.

Cat described ‘How To Be Human’ as reflecting the past year of her life. “I faced the loss of a loved one and my first relationship heartbreak simultaneously, and honestly, I had no idea how I would manage through it,” she shared about her new 16-track album, which follows her Mercury Prize shortlisted debut ‘early twenties’. She elaborated, “Creating this album was my introspective and neurodivergent method of dealing with heartbreak and the loss of my Grandad, with whom I was very close - it’s my comfort album. While working on it, I realized how many others could find solace in it; there are so many individuals experiencing similar difficulties. I hope it offers them comfort and demonstrates how one can rise again.”
