This third full-length album from Will Westerman is an elegant, mood-filled masterpiece right from the start. The opener ‘S. Machine’ presents his shimmering falsetto in a grand manner, while ‘About Leaving’ reflects on its spaciousness, drawing parallels to Sampha (with producer Marta Salogni also having worked with the artist). Additionally, ‘Mosquito’ beautifully blends indie, electronic elements with jangly folk, reminiscent of Amen Dunes. ‘Weak Hands’ adopts a more cinematic style, and the subtly stripped-back ‘Nevermind’ arguably stands out. Throughout the album, Westerman’s soothing voice takes center stage, enveloped in a satin-like sheen on this third outing.
