Foy Vance has unveiled his latest track, ‘I Think I Preferred The Question’.

The artist from Northern Ireland, who is now based in Scotland, is embarking on a new chapter, having signed with Rounder Records. Earlier this year, he made his debut on the label with the ambitious double single, ‘A.I.’ and ‘Call Me Anytime’.

With production by Brit Award-winning Ethan Johns, the new single ‘I Think I Preferred The Question’ showcases Vance's ongoing creative journey, delivering a raw and powerful sound.

The Emmy Award-winning artist is performing at his best, as Foy Vance's husky and gritty voice seamlessly carries an arrangement that shifts from indie folk to Americana, unified by his compelling storytelling.

Foy Vance also recently announced a special hometown performance – A Celebration of Life with Foy Vance – scheduled for August 15th, 2026, at Custom House Square in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Purchase your tickets here.
