Kneecap returns with their new single ‘No Comment’.
It has been an eventful year for the Northern Irish band, as they have confronted the British state's legal system while also performing at some of the largest shows of their careers. Kneecap has released a series of impactful singles on streaming platforms, including ‘THE RECAP’ featuring drum & bass producer Mozey, and ‘Sayōnara,’ a collaboration with Paul Hartnoll of Orbital.
Their latest single ‘No Comment’ continues this impressive streak. Available now, the track features explosive DNB production from the acclaimed Sub Focus, a prominent figure in bass culture.
The dynamic sound supports a narrative of resistance, with ‘No Comment’ focusing on the British state’s overreach and abuse of power in their pursuit of Mo Chara on terrorism charges.
Kneecap states...
‘No Comment’ addresses the harassment by the British State. Plain and simple. We Irish are quite familiar with this; it has been happening for centuries. Collaborating with Sub Focus was an honor; he is a legend.
A limited edition seven-inch vinyl will be released, featuring ‘Get Your Brits Out’ on the B-side. Banksy has generously permitted the use of his well-known ‘Royal Courts of Justice’ mural for the cover.
