A tribute to her closest friend...
Scottish DJ and producer Hannah Laing has released the heartfelt single ‘Have You Ever Loved (Ellie)’.
Originally from Dundee, she has risen from modest beginnings to make her mark on the dance music scene, transitioning from her previous role as a dental nurse to becoming a resident DJ at Hï Ibiza, in addition to performing at major festivals.
While hosting her sold-out hometown festival Doof In The Park for 15,000 attendees, Hannah continues to stay connected to her beginnings.
Earlier this year, she experienced the loss of a dear friend, and in an effort to process her grief, Hannah returned to the studio. ‘Have You Ever Loved (Ellie)’ serves as an emotional tribute to a beloved confidant, featuring a beautiful vocal performance by Hannah Boleyn.
Demonstrating a different facet of her artistry, ‘Have You Ever Loved (Ellie)’ allows Hannah Laing to showcase the more personal aspect beneath her club star persona.
She shares…
“I’m releasing this song to honor my lifelong best friend, whom I tragically lost in July. There’s no way to prepare for such a loss. I miss her more than words can convey. Hannah Boleyn delivered the vocals so beautifully. Trance has always been where I started, and although I enjoy exploring various genres, nothing evokes emotion or resonates with me like trance does.”
