Their UK tour wraps up tonight in London...
Australian band Radio Free Alice has released their new single ‘Rule 31’.
The group fuses post-punk elements with a more melodic sound, evoking comparisons to Fontaines D.C. and the Flying Nun roster. Radio Free Alice is rapidly establishing a distinctive sound, and their latest track ‘Rule 31’ showcases their striking immediacy.
Crafted while on tour, the song features sharp guitar riffs and deep, reflective vocals, emphasizing their melodic flair in a powerful chorus.
The track was recorded with esteemed producer Peter Katie, known for his work with Frightened Rabbit, Interpol, and The National, at his studio in Connecticut, just as Radio Free Alice concludes their latest UK tour at Scala tonight.
“‘Rule 31’ originated during a soundcheck while on tour,” says lead vocalist Noah Learmonth about the song. “The bassline was the first element, and we built everything around it. We recorded it at Peter’s gorgeous home studio in Connecticut during a couple of days off from performing.”
