From their upcoming album...
Blackwater Holylight has released a new single titled ‘Involuntary Haze’.
This trio began their journey in Portland, Oregon, where they fused a gritty rock sound with ethereal songwriting elements. After moving to Los Angeles, this transition appeared to ignite a change within Blackwater Holylight, propelling them to grow.
Scheduled for release on January 30th, their new album ‘Not Here Not Gone’ embodies this sense of change. The single ‘Involuntary Haze’, drawn from the LP, embraces shoegaze influences, featuring shimmering guitar effects paired with smooth, flowing synths.
Lead guitarist Mikayla Mayhew describes the song as a "siren song," stating: “This song reflects on empty promises. It speaks to pretending there’s space for someone when your heart is already occupied. It’s the moment you realize you’ve been deceived, not by others, but by your own justifications.”
