Teyana Taylor secured the Best Supporting Actress award at the Golden Globes last night.

Competing in the Best Supporting Actress category at the Golden Globes, Teyana went up against formidable contenders including Emily Blunt, Elle Fanning, Ariana Grande, Amy Madigan, and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas.
In a triumphant moment, Teyana Taylor accepted the award with an emotional speech. “I almost didn’t even write a speech because I didn’t think I was [going to win],” Taylor said. “Thank you to the Golden Globe voters for seeing me and reminding me that purpose always finds its moment.”
She expressed her appreciation for her director, whom she affectionately called Paul “Let ’em cook” Thomas Anderson: “Thank you for your vision, your trust, and your brilliance. My gratitude is endless. I love you. We love you, and thank you so much for holding space for me and our entire cast.”
In closing her speech, Taylor dedicated her achievement to “my Brown sisters and little Brown girls watching.”
“Our softness is not a liability. Our depth is not too much,” she added. “Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into. Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space.”
