Cate Le Bon teams up with St Vincent for the ethereal new track 'Always The Same.'

Cate Le Bon returns with an enchanting, ethereal art-pop track titled ‘Always The Same’, a collaboration with fellow experimental artist St Vincent. Le Bon describes it as a “cousin to the song cycle of ‘Michelangelo Dying’”, referencing her most recent album released last year via Mexican Summer. In this new piece, the unique and captivating vocals of both artists intertwine over a backdrop of gentle synths and dreamy guitar melodies. This isn’t their first collaboration; Le Bon also produced and featured on the title track of St Vincent’s last album, ‘All Born Screaming’, which was released in 2024. Additionally, she took charge of mixing for Dry Cleaning’s latest album, ‘Secret Love’. Le Bon remarked that “‘Always The Same’ required a bit more space than the album could provide,” yet still “came into formation in the same breath” as ‘Michelangelo Dying’. She added, “It’s special to me because it includes my dear friend and incredible artist St. Vincent, who brings an air of calm and dignity while I navigate the murky waters of love.” You can watch the official video for ‘Always The Same’ below.
