Mute Swan will be releasing their new album ‘Skin Slip’ on March 6th.
The Tuscan, Arizona band received praise for their remarkable full-length album ‘Only Ever’, which fuses elements of noise rock, shoegaze, and gentle indie pop. Unfortunately, Mute Swan lost their founding member and guitarist, Thom Sloane, in 2024, and took some time to cope with this loss.
Determined to move forward, the band’s upcoming album ‘Skin Slip’ represents a journey of healing. Set for release on March 6th through Hit The North Records, the album’s fuzzy songwriting brings to mind influences such as Peel Dream Magazine, as well as classics like Slowdive or Asobi Seksu.
Their new track ‘Phantasms Of The Living’ is now available online – featuring Sonoda, it’s a lovely indie pop gem, with Impressionistic sound textures providing a beautiful contrast to the guitar chaos.
