Don Glori and ML Hall collaborate on their new single “Brown Eyes.”
Based in Melbourne/Naarm, Don Glori draws inspiration from the vibrant arts scene of the city. His solo efforts reflect a diverse range of influences, creating a kaleidoscopic blend of jazz, soul, and funk.
An album is set to release this year, crafted in collaboration with some of his closest friends. Recorded seemingly over just two days, the songs have an improvisational sparkle.
Scheduled for release on May 16th, the album is titled “Paper Can’t Wrap Fire”—an ancient Chinese proverb that essentially means “the truth cannot be denied.”
Known as Gordon Li in real life, Don Glori offers a sneak peek of the album with the enchanting “Brown Eyes.” This track showcases his unique style and features ML Hall, transitioning seamlessly between the creative fluidity of jazz and the lyrical sweetness of soul.
