Boys To Men: CLASH Encounters TOMORROW X TOGETHER

Boys To Men: CLASH Encounters TOMORROW X TOGETHER

They have headlined Lollapalooza, sold out Madison Square Garden, and achieved Billboard hits—all before their inaugural European tour.

Now, TOMORROW X TOGETHER are making history once again with ACT: PROMISE – EP. 2, the latest chapter in their global expansion.

After a sold-out show in Spain and just a day ahead of their performance at The O2, the quintet—SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENINGKAI—spoke with us from their hotel room in London about their hits, their excitement about touring Europe, and what fans—MOA—can anticipate from this phase of their international journey.

      —

MLG: To start, let’s break the ice… Can each of you share a fun or interesting tidbit from your week? It could be something amusing you've learned, a new experience, or a show or book you’re currently enjoying.

TAEHYUN: A couple of days ago, I had paella for the first time in Spain, and it was amazing.

HUENINGKAI: We arrived in London yesterday, and the first thing we had was pizza... But I really hope we can sample more local dishes while we’re here.

MLG: Did anybody take up new hobbies during your well-deserved time off? Any new skills you're keen to explore?

SOOBIN: I attempted some cooking with my mother over the break, and now I feel inspired to cook something for my members [laughs].

MLG: TOMORROW X TOGETHER has been together for six years now, and you’ve achieved so much! What has been your favorite group memory so far?

TAEHYUN: I’ll never forget our first performance at Lollapalooza (2022). It was my first experience at such a massive festival, and I was incredibly nervous before going on stage. There were not just our fans, but many general music lovers in attendance to enjoy our performance. We were nervous, but the crowd seemed to enjoy it more than I expected. We absolutely loved that experience, and in 2023, we returned as headliners. It was unforgettable.

      —

MLG: I watched that performance yesterday, and it was monumental—congratulations! How do you think you’ve developed the most since your debut?

      BEOMGYU: My looks? [laughs]

SOOBIN: I believe we’ve all matured significantly as individuals and artists. Reflecting on my initial performances, I realize I don’t appear as youthful as before; I have a more mature look now. This change means I can no longer do some things I once did, but I am now capable of things I couldn't do previously. We may have lost a bit of that freshness, but with it comes maturity and sophistication. We’ve transitioned from being boys to men. (TAEHYUN adds: Boys to men...)

MLG: Touring offers closer interactions with your fans, MOA. How do these interactions affect you personally and as a group?

TAEHYUN: While on tour, we can genuinely feel the support from MOA all over the world. It was hard to sense it back home in Korea, but on tour, it’s tangible. Personally and as a group, it’s incredibly motivating to see such a diverse fan base cheering for us.

MLG: Your current setlist features solo stages. How did each of you choose what to perform?

BEOMGYU: I feel that our unique solo performances are the highlights of this tour. We aimed to showcase new sides of ourselves that we hadn’t revealed before. For instance, I play the Geomungo—a traditional Korean instrument similar to a plucked zither. It’s a rare opportunity to see me perform that! I believe this aspect of our tour is fantastic. We incorporated our individual styles and preferences to create the best performances for each member.

MLG: If you could relive any moment as TXT, which would it be?

HUENINGKAI: I would choose two incredibly meaningful moments that I cherish. One is our debut showcase, and the other is our first Lollapalooza performance that TAEHYUN mentioned earlier. On stage during both events, I felt a rush of excitement. After our Lollapalooza performance, when we stepped down, the staff applauded for us. I nearly cried from the intensity of the moment; it’s something I still feel deeply.

MLG: Your ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR – EP. 2’ setlist features songs from your debut to the present—long-time fans may reminisce about old memories while new fans can enjoy the latest tracks. Which songs make you feel the best while performing?

      TAEHYUN: I must say ‘LO$ER=LO♡ER’
