Kamasi Washington, Bonobo, and Floating Points will all be part of the impressive soundtrack for the new anime series LAZARUS.
This upcoming anime is set in a future version of Earth, where the population consumes a happiness drug known as Hapna. After its creator goes missing, he reemerges as a doomsday prophet – the drug is laced with a deadly poison, and everyone will die in 30 days unless a remedy is discovered.
Scheduled to premiere on April 5th on Adult Swim, the music aspect is exceptional, with new contributions from Kamasi Washington, Bonobo, and Floating Points.
The three tracks are quite intriguing – featuring the spiritual jazz of Kamasi Washington, a dark collaboration between Bonobo and Jacob Musk of Gabriels, and an electrifying piece from Floating Points.
Currently available online, these tracks mark the first parts of separate full-length soundtracks, set to be released on April 11th.
So, take a listen to the new works from Kamasi Washington, Floating Points, and Bonobo below.
