Midnight Rodeo is set to release their new album ‘Chaos Era’ on July 11th.
The album was recorded over 10 days at the band's own residential studio. With the assistance of Samana’s Franklin Mockett, the outcome is a blend of psych-o-tropic pop enriched with elements of indie music.
Scheduled for release on July 11th via Fat Cat Records, the album combines the band's diverse sonic inspirations, with recording sessions lasting over 16 hours each day.
Midnight Rodeo shared their enthusiasm, stating:
“We want our audience to understand the joy we bring to the stage and encourage them to dance. Our approach is Dada-istic. The drums deliver catchy hooks, the bass plays parts typically handled by brass instruments, and the guitar integrates West Coast psychedelic sounds with disco beats.”
The new single ‘Dixon’ showcases the full band collaborating, breaking down ideas while maintaining a sense of unity. Described as a “Nick Cave-esque character study,” you can listen to it below.
