The upcoming album ‘Commitment’, which will be his ninth studio album, is scheduled for release on August 8th and aims to incorporate various elements of his musical style.
The production team is extensive, featuring collaborators like Mike Brainchild, Toddla T, Tre-Jean Marie, and Wretch 32, with additional contributions from Jojo, Tiwa Savage, and Louisa Johnson.
Pre-orders are open now for the album, which is led by the fresh UKG track ‘Wake Up.’ It revitalizes classic garage elements for a new generation of ravers, infused with Craig David's signature smooth soul.

‘Wake Up’ to me is a way of honoring my garage roots while preserving the cultural essence of the genre from its inception.
The lyrics emphasize both literally and metaphorically the need to actively nurture what we value, especially if we wish to avoid the risk of losing it by taking it for granted. This sentiment reflects my perspective on the distinct sound of UK Garage and the significance of fostering it for future generations globally.
I felt incredibly inspired blending in the vibes from ‘Indo – R U Sleeping’ with this track, reminiscent of the energy from my TS5 garage sets. It sparked core memories, evoking deep emotions and motivating me to grab the mic and rap again, just like in the days of pirate radio MCing.
