Pastoral's new track 'Nothing Stays The Same' has been released...
Katie Phelan has announced her debut EP titled ‘Blues And Greens’.
Growing up in rural Ireland and raised in Stamullen, Co. Meath, Phelan's background likely contributes to the pastoral essence of her music, as she absorbed the sounds of the Irish coast throughout her upbringing.
Her upcoming EP ‘Blues And Greens’ offers a fresh take on indie-folk and serves as an introductory showcase. It follows her collaborative sessions with producer Pete Robertson, a founding member of The Vaccines and producer for artists like Beabadoobee, Orla Gartland, and Clairo.
The EP is set to drop on June 11th via the notable label 7476, led by the enchanting single ‘Nothing Stays The Same’, which is now available for streaming.
Accompanied by an endearing music video, the song embraces the comfort of home – it’s melodic and insightful, featuring her brother Peter on piano.
“I wrote it on the floor of my childhood bedroom, the place where I’ve created many of my songs, as I anticipated moving away from home for the first time. It reflects on missing the small, everyday things (like the sounds of family moving around the house) and realizing their importance,” she shared.
