"The ridge signifies a journey toward a reality that is attainable, regardless of the challenges..."

Nico Cann, a 20-year-old artist based in London, continues to build anticipation for his debut album with the release of his new anthemic single, ‘Light Over The Ridge’.
Blending classic and heartland rock elements, ‘Light Over The Ridge’ is produced by Thomas Mitchener, who has worked with artists like Frank Carter and Noahfinnce. The single embodies the passion ignited within Nico as he examines the focused determination required to chase one’s dreams and goals.
The music video serves as a heartfelt tribute to the capital, featuring the singer-songwriter traversing the streets in a song that encapsulates the enthusiasm for life and the relentless drive at its core.
Regarding a single that celebrates hopeful optimism in a time of cynicism, Nico comments: “The ridge signifies a journey toward a reality that’s within reach, no matter the obstacles, if you genuinely believe in what you do and continually strive to improve yourself.”
‘Light Over The Ridge’ acts as a precursor to Nico’s full-length debut, ‘Silver Lining’. The album reflects the push and pull of life’s changing moments; it is an auditory exploration of light and dark, chronicling Nico’s evolution from boyhood to manhood. Expect honest lyricism and a fluid sound that draws inspiration from American legends like Phil Spector and Bruce Springsteen while also embracing the essence of authentically British stadium rock. Nico’s music is not simply imitative but progressive, echoing the genre-blurring creations of contemporary artists such as Jack Antonoff and Sam Fender.
Currently enrolled at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP), Nico Cann recently released ‘Running In The Rain’, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, earlier this year. He is set to perform at Amersham Arms for a significant show, followed by a series of performances across the UK leading up to his album's anticipated release this October.
With only two releases to date, Nico Cann is carving out a reputation as a promising next-generation rock artist to watch.
Tune in now.
