Singer-songwriter Matt Maltese has released his new single, ‘Buses Replace Trains’, in anticipation of his upcoming sixth album, ‘Hers’. The album is set to come out on May 16 and will include this new track along with previously released singles ‘Always Some MF’, ‘Anytime, Anyplace, Anyhow’, and ‘Pined For You My Whole Life’. The title ‘Buses Replace Trains’ originated from a conversation Maltese had with his uncle about band names. “There was something poignant about the phrase ‘Buses Replace Trains’ when taken out of context,” Maltese reflects on the single. “It brought back memories of rail replacement buses in Reading from my childhood, but I also felt it was a fitting title for a love song. It’s so simple and ordinary,” he notes. Additionally, Maltese has announced a series of intimate shows to promote ‘Hers’, where he will perform at record stores in cities such as New York, London, and Brighton.
