NoSo Reveals Upcoming Album Titled ‘When Are You Leaving?’

Check out the new single, 'Sugar'.

Korean-American artist NoSo is set to release their second album, ‘When Are You Leaving?’, on October 10th through Partisan Records.

Following the dreamy explorations of their debut album ‘Stay Proud Of Me’, which came out in 2022, ‘When Are You Leaving?’ is deeply rooted in the excitement and upheaval of NoSo’s real-life situations. With rhythm-driven production, sharp guitars, and expansive ballads, the album contemplates “fractured relationships, platonic heartbreak, and the intricacies of perception.”

NoSo, whose real name is Baek Hwong, states: “My first album primarily consisted of daydreams about what my life could become if I fully accepted my identity. This new record is grounded in reality and openly details my enlightening yet turbulent experiences.”

In anticipation of the album release, NoSo has unveiled the disco-influenced track, ‘Sugar’. Co-produced with Jack Tatum from Wild Nothing, the vibrant, anthemic sound contrasts with the bittersweet and emotionally charged storytelling about the fatigue that arises from dealing with volatile individuals.

Hwong elaborates: “‘Sugar’ revolves around the careful navigation of interactions with unstable, unwell people. It reflects on those experiences, aiming to approach them with empathy rather than anger. I’ve realized that this is the only way I can progress, by not feeding those memories and allowing them power.”

NoSo will perform at Gunnersbury Park in London on August 15th alongside acts like Khruangbin and TV on the Radio, and plans to return to Europe in 2026 for a series of headline concerts, including a show in London at Islington Assembly Hall next February. Tickets for the Gunnersbury Park event are available here, and tour tickets will be on sale on NoSo’s website starting May 21st.
