Water From Your Eyes is set to launch their new album, ‘It’s A Beautiful Place,’ on August 22nd.
The duo, consisting of Nate Amos and Rachel Brown, has put out a number of impressive projects, but their 2023 album ‘Everyone’s Crushed’ marked a significant advancement. This was their first release with the esteemed independent label Matador, showcasing a fresh expansion of their indie pop style.
The upcoming album, ‘It’s A Beautiful Place,’ features 10 tracks and showcases Water From Your Eyes starting anew.
“It ended up being about time, dinosaurs, and space,” Nate Amos shares. “We aimed to demonstrate a diverse range of styles while acknowledging that everything is just a brief moment in time.”
Their new single ‘Life Signs’ is available now, featuring a heavy, metal-influenced sound. Accompanied by a video directed by Rachel Brown, it offers a sharp return to form.
“Television has always been my biggest passion,” Rachel Brown says, “and the concept for this video stemmed from my urge to play with genre conventions. I believe the medium allows us to fit endless universes into a small space in your living room. I wanted the video to reflect as many worlds as the song does, capturing an entire lifetime in just a few minutes.”
