It's set to release on September 5th.
UK producer SG Lewis has announced his upcoming third album titled ‘Anemoia’.
The electronic artist has established himself in Los Angeles and has been collaborating extensively in recent years. Through his Forever Days imprint, SG Lewis has teamed up with pop icons such as Tove Lo, Nelly Furtado, Shygirl, and Elton John.
As a highly sought-after DJ, SG Lewis has become a regular presence in Ibiza, and has also headlined various international festivals.
The new album ‘Anemoia’ has been in development for some time, and the title resonates with many—it describes a nostalgic yearning for eras never personally experienced.
“When I stumbled upon the term Anemoia, it perfectly captured a feeling I had struggled to put into words for a long time—a longing for times I didn't actually live through,” SG explains. “Throughout my career, I’ve frequently drawn from past musical eras, examining them closely to grasp their cultural and technical backgrounds. In doing this, I began to reflect on my emotional ties to those periods and why they had such a profound impact on me.”
“This album is grounded in dance music, and even in its more subdued moments, it's shaped by Balearic influences that stem from my time spent in Ibiza last summer. I feel much of the music carries a hint of melancholy, despite its energetic vibe. Above all, I want Anemoia to serve as a soundtrack for living in the now—creating moments that others may one day look back on with nostalgia.”
