Zeroz has released their brand new anime-inspired track ‘Star Kill Lovers.’
The duo fuses a diverse range of alternative elements with a love for pop music, along with a strong admiration for anime. Consequently, they are somewhat difficult to categorize – Zeroz evokes the sonic intensity of Sleigh Bells, or even the more pop-oriented explorations of TURNSTILE, yet they possess a unique cut-and-paste appeal.
Now available, ‘Star Kill Lovers’ offers a blend of emo-infused noise pop and showcases Zeroz fresh off extensive tours across the UK and Japan.
Building on the viral success of their irresistibly catchy single ‘The Stupid Song’, the songwriting reflects the limitless creativity found in the hyper-pop collaboration of 100 gecs.
As they work towards their third album, ‘Star Kill Lovers’ gives Zeroz the opportunity to authentically express themselves.
The duo remarks...
‘Star Kill Lovers’ delves into the contrast between Romance and Modernity. I’ve always drawn inspiration from the love stories portrayed in anime; the concept of loving and safeguarding one individual has always resonated with me—especially within an adventurous context. However, contemporary life is characterized by modular living, endless accumulation, and a sense of irony, which stand in stark opposition to Romance.
