With outrageous lyrics about toe-sucking and catchy choruses that redefine ‘earworm’, Bea and her Business are steadily rising to become the latest It Girl in pop music. When selecting a stage name, Bea chose hers by contemplating one key question. “I wondered what the coolest girl in school would do,” she reveals to CLASH. “About two seconds after that thought, Bea and her Business was created.”

Bea characterizes her music as “essentially funny verses and huge choruses”, a philosophy clearly embodied in her recent single ‘Rich’, which celebrates a night out with friends while leaving behind your troubles. The concept is straightforward: gather the girls, jump in the car, and head to the club. “I wrote it during a period when I struggled with work/life balance. When I'm feeling down, I don't reach out to anyone. I just indulge in self-pity. Ultimately, you have roughly 80 years on this planet. Go enjoy yourself!”

Her music is fueled by poetry and striking imagery, cultivated through hours spent in her local library, searching through numerous books for inspiration. “It’s about the feeling of freedom, the beauty of nature, and vintage aesthetics,” she elaborates. “I love fields, lakes, envelopes, inks, and books. I appreciate cracked mirrors and items that show wear and tear. I enjoy infusing punk elements into lavish settings.”

Clearly, her approach is yielding results. Bea and her Business were nominated for a Rising Star award at this year’s Ivor Novello awards, an event where she mingled with legendary musicians. “Being among some of the greatest songwriters in the world, the very heart of the industry. Without them, we wouldn’t have incredible songs,” she reflects. “I truly left that room feeling energized. This is why I’m pursuing this path.” She attributes her success to staying focused and not getting sidetracked by others online. “Take time to quietly refine your music until it’s something you’re sincerely proud of. It all begins with great tunes.”

The latter half of 2025 will feature her touring alongside The Wombats and Maren Morris, with some headline shows also planned. She is in the process of writing new material for these performances, promising “drama, energy, fun, powerhouse vocals, shocking dance moves, and perhaps a voice crack or two.”

As she prepares for this next chapter, Bea is determined to make her mark.
