Lala Lala is set to release her new album ‘Heaven 2’ on February 27th.
The songwriter has joined Sub Pop for this record, marking her debut on the prestigious label with a reflective exploration of personal growth. Lala Lala, whose real name is Lillie West, was a key figure in Chicago’s music scene, where she wrote and recorded two albums before feeling compelled to explore new horizons.
After moving to New Mexico, West spent time in Reykjavik before relocating again to London, where she immersed herself in the vibrant creative communities of the city.
Now back in the US, Lala Lala is based in Los Angeles, which serves as the setting for her new album.
The upcoming album ‘Heaven 2’ will be released on February 27th, and it was co-produced by West and Melina Duterte of Jay Som. Featured guests on the album include Sen Morimoto, Macie Stewart, and Aaron Maine from Porches.
Two new singles are available now – the robust title track and the thought-provoking 'Even Mountains Erode.'
