Yungblud recently announced that the second part of his ‘Idols’ album is “more cynical” and will be released “imminently.”

In 2025, the UK artist experienced a remarkable rise in his career, highlighted by significant achievements. He made headlines internationally by performing at Villa Park during Ozzy Osbourne’s final show celebrations. Shortly after, he collaborated with Aerosmith for a major release and achieved his second No. 1 on the UK charts within a year.

The first of those chart-toppers? Naturally, it was ‘Idols’. Yungblud’s rock-influenced album dominated the charts, and the second part is expected to arrive soon.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Yungblud shared that Andrew Watt will return as producer, and the lead single will be titled ‘I Need You to Make the World Seem Fine.’

“The first part is centered on self-reclamation and liberation, discovering how to take flight. The next part represents realism — how do you navigate the real world as the person you've become? It’s a bit more cynical,” he explained.

“‘Idols’ was very maximalist,” Yungblud, whose real name is Dom Harrison, added. “What Watt and I aim to achieve is extremely minimalist. We want it to sound alive and band-oriented. We might even record without a click track. I’ve been inspired by [Jeff] Buckley, [Chris] Cornell, and [Scott] Weiland, immersing myself in the vibe of ’93 MTV Unplugged, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana. One of my favorite quotes from Bowie is, ‘I would look at the last album and go completely the opposite way.’ If you have three minutes and five chords with the raw truth, what will you create?”

These remarks came after another interview with NME, where Yungblud discussed that part one of ‘Idols’ explored “the reclamation of yourself,” while part two delves into “the dark and downward spiral leading to the inevitable realization that I won’t be here forever.”
