Louis Dunford Highlights Community in His Debut Album 'Be Lucky'

      17 · 02 · 2025

Louis Dunford from North London has released his debut album ‘Be Lucky’ in its entirety.

The songwriter’s style is rooted in honesty, portraying his own experiences as well as those of people around him.

His earlier single ‘The Angel (North London Forever)’ has become a well-known anthem, adopted by Arsenal for their home matches, making it almost a staple of the region.

However, there’s much more to Louis Dunford than just that. His debut album ‘Be Lucky’ explores themes of sexuality, grief, and ambition, with each track drawn from his personal story.

For example, the title track reflects on a tragic event where his friend, just 16 years old, died in his arms after a stabbing in Islington. The album also conveys joy and hope, showcasing the strength and resilience found in community.
