Evelia has released her new EP ‘On Your Roof’ in its entirety.
Growing up on the outskirts of Atlanta, the songwriter connected with late-night radio as a teenager. Captivated by music, Evelia began writing her own songs—initially with naivety, but gradually with increasing self-assurance.
Creation became a significant aspect of her life, particularly when she needed it most. Following a breakup, a wave of emotions surged forth, and Evelia found herself struggling to process these feelings.
The new EP ‘On Your Roof’ became her anchor. Featuring four tracks filled with melodic elegance and lyrical sincerity, the EP serves as a journey toward stability.
In some ways reminiscent of Blondshell and the earlier works of Mitski, Evelia is discovering her unique voice as her material grows increasingly distinctive.

I composed this EP in the wake of my first meaningful breakup, during which I found myself yearning for something through these tracks. In my early twenties, I learned what I wouldn’t accept in a relationship and how that shaped my identity. These songs were created in solitude in my bedroom and later shared with a band in Athens that helped refine the sound, transforming the music from acoustic ballads into polished indie rock.
I hope that as you listen to this project, it reminds you of being in your twenties and deeply in love—that you recall the intense push and pull of trying to salvage a fading relationship and the moment you first found yourself anew after heartbreak.
