Miles Kane is set to perform at the final gig at Sheffield's Leadmill.

Miles Kane is set to perform the final concert at the Leadmill in Sheffield.

The venue has been integral to the city's music landscape for 45 years, but it will close its doors this summer.

As the Leadmill's story comes to an end, details about the last performance at the venue have been announced.

After a month filled with concerts, including sold-out performances from artists such as The K's and Milburn's Joe Carnall Jnr, the farewell series culminates with Miles Kane.

The Liverpool musician has been selected to bid farewell to the Leadmill, playing the final show there on June 27th.

Miles has a long-standing connection with the venue, having first performed solo during his debut album tour in 2011. He has since sold out the venue four more times as a solo artist.

Furthermore, Miles returned to the Leadmill in December 2023 to kick off his One Man Band tour with a special warm-up gig.

Looking further back, he also filled the Leadmill twice in March 2007 as a member of The Little Flames, supporting Arctic Monkeys for two consecutive nights during their remarkable hometown shows.

The farewell gig will take place on Friday, June 27th, with tickets limited to just 900, going on sale on Friday, June 6th, at 10 am via The Leadmill's website.

Ben Hartley, Live Promoter, remarked, “Miles has been a beloved friend of The Leadmill for more than a decade. Given the support he’s provided throughout our eviction campaign and the numerous sold-out shows over the years, it’s only fitting that he joins us one last time to provide a remarkable conclusion to The Leadmill’s concert legacy.”
